Week 14- 13.7.20
Friday 17th July
Hello everyone! Well it is the last day of the term. I would like to say how proud I am of the way you have coped with this very strange situation we have found ourselves in. Teachers have had to learn new ways of teaching and you guys have had to learn new ways of learning. It has all been a massive learning curve for us all. I have been overwhelmed by the positive attitudes of so many of you. I have loved seeing the pictures of your work and your lovely messages;they really have kept me smiling so thank you. I would also like to say a huge thank you to those parents who have supported you and been your substitute teachers. Children , I would like you to say a big thank you to your mums and dads and anyone who has helped you to do your learning at home. ( I hope I am not out of a job come September!)
I would like to add a few special mentions to Stephanie, Mateusz and Evie for gaining the most class dojo points for the amount of work done at home. Also, a big well done too to the many children who have kept up their reading on Bug Club.
Anyway, it is the holiday now so you can have a good rest but if you do want something to do I am going to add a few things here that you might like to try.
I truly hope you all have a super holiday and I look forward to seeing you all in September when we can make some happy new memories together as you begin your final year.

Wednesday 15th July
Morning everyone. I had a lovely day with some of you yesterday. We learnt about pop art and did our own style of pop art pieces. I will post some pictures at the end of the week. We also painted some stones to go in the garden in September.
I have done a quiz for you to have a go at today for a bit of fun. There is a general knowledge round, an English and Maths round and a picture round. Most of the questions are things we have learnt this year and some other trivia questions. If you want to type your answers on the Word document and email them back to me, I will mark them and award a prize in September to the highest scorer. Or, you can take a photo of each section of the quiz and send it me but make sure I can read it easily. Get everyone at home to have a go too!

Good morning. I am looking forward to seeing some of you today in school. You have a choice of activities again today. You can choose a page from your work books or the end of year English and Maths packs I uploaded yesterday or you can have a go at solving the mystery of the locked cupboard activity. You will need to print these sheets off and use your Maths skills to solve the clues. Good luck!
The children coming into school will be completing some art work which I will share with you all tomorrow.
P.S. Look out for my end of year quiz on Wednesday!
Mystery of the locked cupboard
Monday 13th July
Hi Year 5. Hope you all had a good weekend. Well, this is your last week as Year 5 pupils. Before you know it, you will be in Year 6 and what a busy year it will be!
I am going to let you choose what activities you do this week. You can either choose some pages from your English and Maths books that you haven't competed yet, or I am adding an end of year English and Maths activity book that you might like to have a go at.
Each day I will also add a different activity for you to try. On Tuesday, when some of you come to school, we will be painting stones to go in our Mylee garden. If you want to do this at home you can bring your stone in when you return in September but make sure you use permanent pens or paints that will be waterproof.
Have a great day and I look forward to seeing some of you tomorrow.
