Maths time

*Can you find 5 red objects?

*Can you find 5 blue objects?

*Together with your adult share out a small amount of sweets between you, perhaps start with 5. How many do I have? How many do you have? Who has more? Who has less? Do we have the same? Repeat this activity with different amounts of sweets.

*Play hide and seek. This is great for practising to count out loud. 

*Sing 5 little speckled frogs.

The follow up activity involves drawing around different sized lids found at home and then getting the children to match up the size and shape.
