Where children shoot for the stars and shine

Science within each year group is taught as practically as possible. We aim to make our science lessons as interactive as we can. The children develop their scientific vocabulary as they move through the school and build on previous skills.

We cover all the aspects of the National Curriculum in each year group trying to link, where possible to the topic being taught. The child develop their investigative skills learning about life processes, physical process and properties of materials.

We are also part of the Shire Oak Primary Partnership. As a school, in particular, Year 5 and 6 we get to experience Science lessons within a lab. Allowing the children to experience and take part in investigations that could not done within the classroom. Our school takes part in National Science and Engineering Week.
