Week 11
Friday 26th June
Hello you lovely lot,
We have finally reached the end of the week. Well done for all the hard work you have done this week. I’m very proud of you.
Today’s work is below, please try and complete it all.
We need more children to access Bug Club and TT Rockstars – not enough children are practicing their reading or times table skills.
If it is hot today, try and keep cool while enjoying the sun. If it is raining, sit by a window and enjoy watching it, (that's what I will be doing).

Yesterday's Daily Challenge
Did you manage to find him?
Daily Challenge
Spot the odd one out. Use mathematical language to explain which shape you picked and why it is different to the others. Think about the vertices, edges and faces.
Maths
Today we will be looking at adding and subtracting fractions. You will be completing pages 32 and 33 in your new home learning book.
Use the first two slides to remind you how to add and subtract fractions with the same denominator.
Question 7 (page 33) is a bit trickier because the denominators are different. Use these two slides to help you.
English
Today we are going to learn about adverbs and prepositions – two things we have used a lot in Year 3. You will be completing pages 8 and 9 in your new home learning book.
Adverbs
Adverbs give us more information about a verb, explaining how, when, where or why an action is taking place.
Here are some useful adverbs.
Prepositions
We use prepositions to explain where things are in time or space. Prepositions tell us where something is
for example: beside, under, on, against, beneath or over
or when something is happening
for example: until, during, after, before or more specifically on Christmas Day, at twelve o'clock or in August
Wellbeing
I know that some of you have found it tough during the past few months. I have really missed being in class with you all. I love our class and I think you are all amazing. So today I would like you to remember how amazing you are!
I would like you to fill in each of the balloons, really think about what to put.
You could draw out footballs to write in, or flowers or suns. It doesn’t have to be balloons. But I would like you to write an answer for each one.
