Week 2 (week beginning 30th March 2020)
Friday
Hi Year 5. Happy Friday!
Below are some activities to keep you busy today. I have loved seeing what you are up to on Class Dojo. If you haven't joined Class Dojo yet, please do as we can all keep in touch and share our news.
Today, we would normally be breaking up for our Easter holiday, so I want you to have a rest over the next two weeks and enjoy it as much as you can so I won't be giving you work to do each day. However, I am going to set you a little project with some fun things to do to keep you busy.
Keep your eyes open on the website for the Easter project folder.
Love Ms Randle
Maths
I would like you to complete pages 12 and 13 of your work book which revises multiplication. If you want, you can have a go at the problem of the day.
English
There is a lot of bad news around us at the moment but there are some good stories too, whether it be local schools donating equipment to hospitals, children painting rainbows or your whole street clapping for the NHS. We really need to focus on the positive things at the moment so your task today is to look for the acts of kindness you can see around you, either in your home/street/community or in the world around you.
I want your Happy News!
So, make a note or draw pictures of any happy stories you have heard. You could also look at newspapers or watch news on Newsrounds Happy News. See the links.
Record your pictures/text on the attached sheet but if you can’t print it off, please design your own sheet to record your happy news on.
Or if you prefer, you can do your work on Purple Mash. Go to English, writing genres and themes, report writing/newspaper
Please share your work with me on Class Dojo if you can.

Hi Year 5.
Hope you are all well and have had a good weekend and enjoyed having a little rest from school work!
Please try to keep up with your work as it will really help pass the time and give you something to think about. Thank you to those of you who have done the purple mash activities. I have looked at them! Thank you also for those of you who have emailed me pictures of you working at home. I do like to see what you are doing at home.
Keep up the good work and keep in touch.
