Week 5 (week beginning 20th April 2020)
Hello!!
I hope you are all safe and well, ready for another fun week. Let's hope this sunshine continues.

Here are a few questions you could ask your child when you have read a story together, use them as a starting point, you'll soon get the hang of it!
*What do you think is going to happen? Why?
*Talk about the characters and where the story is set. (Forest, street, beach, boat, hillside etc)
*Which character do you like? Why?
I have included here the number formation rhymes we sing together in Nursery. They are very repetitive, don't worry you'll soon get the hang of them!
When it comes to having a go please remember to start BIG!
We start off by singing the rhyme while standing up and forming the numbers with our arms. Encourage your child to get their whole arm moving, move from the shoulder, not just elbow or wrist.
Do this lots of times.
If you do decide to move to mark making, is there an area where your child could do it on a large scale? Chalk outside or on the back of an old roll of wallpaper? Again, do this lots of times.
Don't worry if it takes a while for your child to get the hang of this, encourage and praise any attempts they make.
Like we say in class, you have to practise lots to get better at things!
