Good morning Year 5,
Today we will continue to learn about measurements. You will be converting lengths and heights into centimetres and metres. Don't forget to have a go at the challenges and send us your work on ClassDojo. Have a wonderful weekend.

Morning everyone. Hope you are all well. Thank you for the fantastic work you have been sending, I do look at it all. Lots of you have been reading on Bug Club this week too so well done for that. I have had a good week teaching Year 6 but I do miss seeing all your faces in the classroom. Here is your science activity for today. It is an investigation on water resistance. Like I said on Class Dojo yesterday you will need some plasticine or blue tac. Don't worry if you can't get these things, just look at the slides instead. Have a great weekend.

Good Morning,
Today we are going to start a new Maths topic - Measurements. You will be asked to convert lengths and heights into centimetres, millimetres and metres. It's going to take some brain power so think carefully. Thank you to everyone who is sharing their work with us, we love to see how well you are doing.

Hi All,
Today will be our last day learning about Area as tomorrow we start a new Maths topic. I have seen some really fantastic work! Today you will need to answer the workbook questions and have a go at the 3 challenges. They will really make you think! Don't forget to show us your work.

Hi Year 5. I hope you enjoyed your science investigation yesterday. I received a fabulous video from Steph dropping her parachute from her bedroom window and also pictures of parachutes made by Mateusz. Well done.
Today we are starting a new topic finding out about a country a long way from here and this is the flag of this country.
Do you know what country it is?

Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. Are you ready for another week of learning? Your English and Maths activities are below and I know you have impressed the other teachers with your work- me too! I am adding a piece of science work for you which is another investigation on air resistance. Don't worry if you don't have the equipment to do it, but if you do, then please can you ask an adult to supervise you whilst you do it. There is a powerpoint to look at first and then the investigation is on a separate sheet.
Finally, please see the link on the class page to this summer's reading challenge. It will be a virtual one this year as the libraries are still closed but it looks fun and I can help you find funny stories on Bug Club to read. Let me know if you sign up.
Have a great day,
