Online gaming has become the new digital playground for a lot of children.
A recent study by OFCOM found 7 in every 10 children, aged between 5 and 15, played games online in 2020, whether this be on a games console, a mobile device or via a web browser.
Online games are important to understand because they offer players
- huge amounts of fun
- enjoyment
- teamwork
- collaboration
- and imaginative adventure.
However, it’s important for adults to understand online gaming to encourage safe and healthy online gaming habits in children, so they can have a positive gaming experience.
