Reception

Welcome back to school! We will have lots of exciting learning in Reception over the next few weeks. 

In the first half of the term our topics will be 

In Maths we will be learning about how to count, form and order numbers up to 10. We will learn how to match numerals to quantities and how patterns repeat. 

In our Creative Area we will paint a self portrait, decorate the letters of our names, create a Rangoli pattern and learn about primary and secondary colours. 

In R.E we will learn about the festivals of Harvest and Diwali.

In Music we will learn about pulse and tempo by copying simple rhythms on instruments. 

In our Circle Time we will talk about our families and our friends. We will discuss why it is important to have good manners and why a balanced diet, exercise and sleep are important. 

We are going to have so much fun in our learning!
